A.I. TRAINING

We have had numerous inquires over the last few months in regards to on-farm A.I. training and what the cost and requirements are.

Below we have listed some information for your reference:

Farm                   - Good training facilities to operate in for 1 week
                             - Good size rotary or a herring bone A.I. race
                             - Room to have lunch & watch DVD
                             - Approx 40 cows available each day - we can use the same cows every second day  

Trainees             - 6 -8 trainees per course depending on the set up
                              - Must be keen and want to learn
                              - Must have gumboots & overalls
                              - Bring lunch each day unless other arrangements have been made  

Cost                    - Farm providing cows etc gets one trainee free
                              - Cost per trainee is $450+gst for one
                              - Cost for 2 trainees from 1 dairy farm $800+gst
                              - Cost for 3 trainees from 1 dairy farm $1150+gst  

Supplied                 - Training manual
                              - DVD for each trainee
                              - All equipment required for training eg, gloves, lube, etc.
                              - Framed certificate at the end of the course if the trainee passes  

Each trainee is required to fill in an application form and make payment before each course starts.
